From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

IETF (International Engineering & Technology Fair) is the foremost technology and engineering exhibition held bi-annually at Pragati Maidan, New Delhi. The fair is organised and promoted by Confederation of Indian Industry (CII). Ever since its inception in 1975, this mega-event has evolved into one of Asia's largest shows of its kind. The grand and comprehensive scale of the fair attracts participation from premier national and international companies from diverse industry sectors. IETF 2005, with an exhibition area exceeding 40,000 square metre, attendance of roughly 110000, and participation from 17 major industrial countries, was a huge success in terms of business generation.

The forthcoming 17th IETF 2007 will be held at India's largest world-class exhibition complex, Pragati Maidan, New Delhi from February 13 – 16, 2007. The event is being organised in association with Japan, the second largest economy in the world. The objective of the fair is to highlight latest innovations in technology, manufacturing and engineering. It will bring the Indian industry face to face with some of the best in the world in order to facilitate new business associations and knowledge sharing.

IETF 2007has been planned as an international B2B event, hosting ten well-defined business fairs simultaneously. Each of these fairs concentrates on a distinct technological section of engineering and manufacturing industry. This focused segmentation is the distinguishing factor that makes IETF a lucrative platform for participants from different industries.
