Springwood Foundation Day

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Springwood Foundation Day is an annual celebration held by the Springwood Chamber of Commerce in Springwood,_New_South_Wales.

In 2007 Foundation Day will be celebrated on March 31st.

The day starts with a 3.5km fun run, after which the main street is closed to traffic and transformed into a celebration with street stalls, live music, and a parade. Over 150 stalls participate each providing crafts, books, plants, information and exotic foods from countries such as Turkey, China, France, Italy, Mexico, Japan, and many others.

At midday there is a grand parade with community groups and schools participating. In 2007 the theme will be The_Magic_Pudding, in recognition of the Norman_Lindsay_Gallery located in springwood.
