Essendon District Football League

The Essendon District Football League is an Australian rules football Amateur League, based in the north-western suburbs of Melbourne, for both seniors and juniors.
The EDFL was founded in 1930.
The league has produced great players including Mark Thomson, Simon Madden, Justin Madden, Mark Harvey, Glenn Manton, Steven Alessio, David Rodan, Mark Mercuri, Joe Misiti, Brock McLean, Corey McKernan, Brad Johnson,Dustin Fletcher, Matthew Lloyd, Shannon Grant, and Andrew Welsh.
It has two divisions in its senior league and 5 divisions in its junior league.
The Grand Final is held at Windy Hill.
