Campbell Brown (born August 28, 1983) is an Australian rules footballer currently plays for Hawthorn Football Club in the Australian Football League.

Brown wears the No. 30 guernsey and is noted for his overall aggression and toughness.[1]. He debuted for the Hawks in 2002, and received a nomination for the Rising Star award.[2]

Campbell was involved in a 2005 racial attack on a shop attendant in Hawthorn. He appeared in the Melbourne Magistrates Court in February 2006 charged with criminal damage, wilful damage, using insulting words and using indecent language.[3]

While no conviction was recorded, Brown was found guilty and was fined $2000 and ordered to attend an anger management and alcohol awareness course. He was also ordered to donate $1500 to an Aboriginal college and write a letter of apology to the shop owner whom he racially abused and a police officer.[4]

In 2007, Brown was fined $15,000 for lying to the AFL tribunal. [5]

Brown was in the squad for the Australian international rules football team which competed in the International Rules Series in 2006.

He is the son of the WAFL hall of famer Australian rules football player Malcolm 'Mal' Brown[6], and attended Scotch College, Melbourne.
